Opportunity Research vs Market Research

Depending on who you ask, Market Research can mean focus groups, data analysis, demographic studies, customer surveys and any number of things. 

But no matter how it’s defined, it typically looks at a group of potential buyers and tries determine if they could be convinced to buy your product or service.  

While Marketing Research is a vital business tool, a far better one is Opportunity Research. Opportunity Research removes the constraints of  ‘what is’, and explores ‘what could be’.  

With Opportunity Research we open our lens wider and look for areas where new value can be created. We are not constrained by current reality and beliefs. This can result in recommendations that create new value for you and your clients such as:
